Bailey's Blankets

Bailey is a fiber artist in Seaside, Oregon, crocheting blankets named for the places that inspired them: Haystack Rock, the Nehalem River, the dunes at Manzanita. We drew the identity first, a monogram and a palette of cream, teal, and gold, then launched the site in April. In August we came back and made it a store. The hard part was inventory: every finished piece is one of a kind, so the shelf is never the same twice, and hundreds belong to the local makers she carries on consignment. We wired the storefront straight to the Square point of sale she already runs the shop on. Each design sells as a one-off while one is on the shelf, then as a made-to-order bed size when it is not. She keeps running her shop the way she always has. The site keeps up.
